Bienno, a small blacksmith's town in the Alps.
Hello Everyone! Sometime during the year, i get together with a special friend to spend a day together forging new damascus steel in a very old context. We are talking about the Fucina di Bienno Museum in the fantastic Val Camonica (Brescia), a forge built in the 12th century and still active thanks to the support of the municipality and the region. This twinning between Fucine museo (I forge at the Averoldi hammer in Ome built around the same time) is always interesting, fun and above all fruitful. In the company of Claudio Ercoli we forged various Damascus steels that we will soon finish, in fact when the compositions are as complicated as the Mosaics, they require days and days of forging. However the day went by very fast, I leave you with the videos and photos of the day. See you soon!
